On Wednesday, April 28, 2015, Lubbock writer/photographer, Rick Vanderpool, left The Hub City
on the first of four trips, to all 48 states in the continental U.S., photographing crosses in each for a unique project, CrossIn✝America.
Four months later, praise God, the travel portion of Vanderpool’s project was complete, thanks to funding from Ryan Sienty and the Dr. Sarah Fain Sienty Foundation – Texas A&M University-Commerce, as well as the prayers and support of staunch friends and family.
On December 17, 2015 Vanderpool received the following Special Recognition
from Lubbock Mayor Glen Robertson and the City Council:

A pair of 18 x 24, signed montage prints, with legends (download from this site) identifying location of each photo. Both prints were premiered at Bob Phillips Texas Country Reporter Festival; Saturday, October 24, 2015 on the downtown square in Waxahachie, Texas.
